***IMPORTANT BASKETBALL EVENT INFORMATION*** Good afternoon, Wolverines! Our Boy's and Girl's Basketball Teams are back in action this afternoon as they take on the Austin Road Middle School Jaguars. To kick off our home winter sports season, our Lady Wolverines will be at home hosting the Lady Jaguars here at Union Grove Middle School (game starts at 5:30 pm). As we prepare to open the winter sports season, we must be clear on a few policies and items of note for COVID-19 pr...evention and protocols that are shifted for the 2020-2021 Winter Sports Season: 1. Seating is limited to the first 240 spectators. Our parents of both the Basketball and Cheerleading programs have already purchased their tickets, and those parents will have reserved seating already marked off, as a result. 2. Seats are predetermined and are socially distanced. Seating for up to four people in a seating area are available, and some spaces are available for two to three people. Once a seat has been assigned to you, based on availability, we respectfully request you remain in that seat. 3. Masks are required to be worn throughout the event, except when eating or drinking items from the concession stand. 4. We plan on using a paperless ticketing system, but our current vendor is experiencing issues so we will be taking cash at the door. 5. No student under the age of 18 can be allowed to be a spectator without parent supervision. No middle school students can remain after school to be a spectator, either. 6. The tables in the cafeteria area will be up and unavailable for use. Any concession stand items can be consumed in the gymnasium. While we realize that these protocols may not be optimal for enjoying an athletic event, we are still operating as a community of students, parents, and community members to work together to prevent the spread of COVID at Union Grove Middle as well as throughout our Union Grove community.
