"While food has not been shown to prevent cancer, diet plays a big role in cancer prevention. If you suffer side effects from treatment like fatigue and digestive problems, it is helpful to include foods that take little or no preparation and are easy to eat and easy on your stomach. Fresh fruit Yogurt Hot or cold cereal... Peanut butter (without added oils) and cheese Whole grains Meats and poultry (unprocessed without nitrates) Cooked eggs" See more

It's the most wonderful time of the year Jade Swain, freshman at Commerce High School, donated 25 gift baskets for patients who are receiving chemotherapy at UCBC Jade wanted to do something kind for people this holiday season, especially considering how difficult this year has been for so many people. The baskets contain books, coloring books, crossword puzzles, bottled water, and other comfort items. Thank you, Jade! #UCBCStrong

Cancer has affected all of us in one way or another. At University Cancer & Blood Center, we’ve been fighting on the front lines of cancer treatment since we first opened our doors in 1981. We’re proud of how our training, research, and commitment have combined to positively impact patient outcomes. But through it all, we’ve found that the greatest discoveries we’ve made are actually about people. Our dedicated team is here to support you through your treatment every step of the way #UCBCStrong
