Meet Leigh: I grew up in Dothan, AL, went to university in Birmingham, AL, and enjoyed my first job down in Panama City, FL, before landing in Atlanta 7 yrs ago for a new job. No matter the city, my love of food, music, and sports remains at a constant high level. Educational tools and resources should be easily accessible to every child. I can think of no better use of my time than to invest in the next generation and invest in the community where I've been planted. There a...re so many teachers (formally and informally) who invested in me growing up and shaped who I am today. I want to pay it forward and help instill a love of learning and watch their self-confidence grow. My favorite "animal" is a shark. I have always been fascinated by them and would gobble up any information on them that I could growing up. Knowledge and understanding help replace fear with healthy respect and even advocacy. An ultimate childhood dream was fulfilled back in 2010 when I went cage diving with great white sharks in South Africa. One of the greatest thrills of my life!

Meet Lindsey: I grew up in and around Atlanta, and still love the city for its buildings, the sports, the food, the people, and even the weather. I want to tutor because I am passionate about education and different learning styles. I come from a long line of educators who instilled in me the joy of coming alongside someone and helping him or her learn something new about the world. I want to do this for my children and also the children in our city, Smyrna. ... An odd fact about me is that I never learned to whistle! All 3 of my kids (including the 1.5 year old) can whistle, but I cannot. See more
