In these strange days of dealing with a pandemic, our food pantry has had an overwhelming demand for food and supplies to help our vulnerable neighbors get through this tough time. Upward Life Ministries just received a grant check from North Ga Electric Membership Foundation! The amount "rounded up" on our electric bill is distributed to our community's outreach organizations. This grant keeps the pantry shelves stocked and helps us feed, support and minister to many famili...es (most with children) all year long, but especially now it is needed more than ever. Thank you NGEMC for helping us make a difference in the lives of our neighbors and bridge that 6 foot gap. A special thank you to participating NGEMC members! Because you generously choose to have your power bill "rounded up", you are a part of local community outreach projects. It was too warm to feel like Christmas today, but serving 31 families with boxes of food for the holidays, including ham made it feel great!! Thank you #NGEMC for making it possible to make so many families so happy. #ORUgives

Upward Life Ministries is still feeding over 100 people a week!

Just when our food pantry shelves were almost empty, we received a grant from North Georgia Electric Membership Corporation! Thanks to Operation Round-Up (where customers allow NGEMC to "round up" their power bill to the next dollar to give back to the community) we are able to stock those shelves to capacity! This will feed so many families and children in need. Thanks again to everyone who participates in this program. It's a little that adds up to a lot! We are so excited to be able to pack the food boxes with high quality proteins and more fresh fruits and vegetables. This summer we plan on providing meals to school children who rely on that meal at school. Thanks again NGEMC!! #ORUgives

It's that time of year again....North Georgia Electric Membership Corporation offers Operation Round-Up Grants. Last year, ORU awarded over 200 grants to organizations, charities and schools. This grant money comes from "rounding up" your NGEMC electric bill, so - Thank You to those who do so!! Upward Life Ministries has been fortunate these past few years to be awarded grant money to fund our projects that stock our food panrty shelves, feed, clothe and provide assistance to those in our community (especially those with children) that are hungry, homeless, unemployed, under employed or ill. Thank you again!! #ORUGives Pictured are "Pop Top Boxes" It a box provided to homeless or those without means to cook meals.
