A message from our department chair
Today we're congratulating Drs. Kathie Barrett, Dylan McLean, and Karen Owen as Best of the West award winners from Academic Affairs, they are three fantastic teachers, scholars, and leaders!
Our faculty do amazing things, giving great opportunities for amazing things to our students, just like this example from Assistant Professor Karen Owen: Karen Owen, PhD, an Assistant Professor in Political Science and Director of the Thomas B. Murphy Center for Public Service at the University of West Georgia, has been selected as a member of the 2020 American Enterprise Institute Leadership Network. The AEI Leadership Network is an opportunity for mid-career executives to become involved in AEI’s intellectual community. Members have the chance to network with a diverse group of leaders from around the country and receive ongoing policy education in their areas of interest. Dr. Owen will participate in the conference from April 13, 2020.
Today we're proud to share some great news about major Rickia Stafford, who was named a finalist for the Truman Scholarship last week. We're proud of you, Rickia!
It's that time again, Political Science majors! The DC trip application window is open.
