Congratulations to Valwood teacher and coach, Courtney Albritton Carter, and her husband, Wes, on the birth of their son, Thomas Jack Carter, who was born on Monday afternoon. The family is at home and everyone is doing well. Welcome to the Valwood family Thomas!

The holidays are a great time of year to give back and help those in need. At Valwood, giving in the form of service to others and to those in need in our community directly correlates with our mission statement: Valwood works to instill in its students an abiding commitment to service by fostering in them respect for others, compassion for those in need, an understanding of civic duty, and a responsibility to serve the communities in which they live. Throughout the month... of November, Valwood families donate household/toiletry items, school supplies, Christmas candy and gift cards for the youth at the Georgia Sheriffs Boys Ranch. On Tuesday, students delivered all of the donations. Decorating a Christmas tree is always a great way to start the day! Valwood seniors helped pre-k students display their ornaments on the Christmas tree this morning.
