We would love to celebrate our amazing patients that we get to care for every day. So we are announcing a "Pet of the Week" contest - every Sunday we'll invite you to share a photo of your furry friend, and we will announce the winner every Monday.

Everybody meet Lexi! She is a wild dog who has managed to evade rescue since she was a puppy. She was finally captured this morning and brought to us to get vaccinated. Upon arrival we noticed that she has a broken foot that will definitely need surgery, and might even need to be amputated. She is extremely scared, but very sweet. We will be giving updates throughout her journey with us! The first step is to get her used to people, then we can start helping her feel better. Wish us luck!

2020 is (finally) coming to an end. This year has been a struggle for everyone. So many things have changed and most of it has not been easy. We ,however, are choosing to focus on the positive things that happened in 2020. For example: drive in movie theaters are popular again, we got to have Zoom meetings in our sweat pants, teachers are getting the appreciation they deserve, lots of empty spaces in animal shelters as adoptions soared, and there is a crazy renewed apprecia...tion for "The Office" (I love inside jokes. I’d love to be a part of one someday. Michael Scott). And particular to VCA Chestatee: We got to help the best patients and clients we could have ever asked for, we have a fantastic new doctor, and we have never felt so appreciated by this community that we love so much. It has been an honor to be there for your pets in the middle of all of the crazy this year has presented us with and we look forward to being there in 2021. Auld Lang Syne. See more
