Happy Mother's Day! Here's a photo that Cooper's mom shared with us this week! Cooper, age 9, created this fantastic painting during an online live video class from the Vinings School of ART. His smile says it all!

Thank you to our students and teachers that have been using live video connections for individual lessons in drawing, piano, and Spanish during these difficult times. The staff at the VSA sincerely hopes that all our students are safe and have been able to stay healthy during these difficult times. No one knows what the future will bring, but in order for our students and staff to have some continuity in their lives, since March 18 we have been teaching private lessons via live video using Whatsapp or Google Duo to teach the piano and guitar lessons to students at home. The Adult Spanish class is using Zoom to hold their classes online. T...he children's Spanish classes for age 6-12 will be taught as 25-30 minute private lessons via live video between our teacher and each current student at home, at no additional cost. Although all drawing and painting classes have been postponed, our painting teachers are cleaning and painting the entire school so it will be beautiful when we re-open. We have decided to close the Vinings School of ART on Saturday, March 14, and we will not be holding any children's after-school group classes March 14-20. We will monitor the situation on an ongoing basis to determine what is best for everyone after that. We will be continuing the private piano lessons only for students that want to attend starting March 16, at which time there will only be a student and 1 teacher in the facility during the private music lesson, since the children's after-school group classes that are normally in the other classrooms have been cancelled and postponed.
