I would like to remind everyone that the weather in Walker County is suppose to get a little nasty. We are suppose to have a lot of rain and some ice. Please everyone try and be prepared. Make sure you have your meds, a flashlight, food that you can eat without power, and blankets and things to keep you warm. If you have any warmers keep them handy just in case you lose power. Also everyone please be careful outside your residence and in your vehicles. If you lose power DO NOT get in your car in the garage and start your car to stay warm. If you are going to do that back your car out in the driveway and crack your windows a little. Please everyone just stay safe.

Based on the potential for black ice, Walker County Schools will be on a two hour delay Wednesday, February 17.
