In the wake of yesterday's events in Boston, we hold a heavy heart for our fellow runners and Americans. A sad, senseless act has put a damper on one of the most beautiful events in our country, and that is disheartening. The quote below has brought me great comfort during this ordeal, and I hope it does the same for you. "We run, not because we think it is doing us good, but because we enjoy it and cannot help ourselves. The more restricted our society and work become, the more necessary it will be to find some outlet for this craving for freedom. No one can say, 'You must not run faster than this, or jump higher than that.' The human spirit is indomitable.
