Hey y'all, Barry here. Just a reminder that we are back tomorrow with worship at 9:30 (Traditional in the Sanctuary) and 11 (Modern in Horton Hall). And, we are online! Hello White Bluff! Barry Giddens here. The Giddens are on the ground in Savannah, Georgia. I’ve enjoyed a six-month Sabbatical during which we were able to let Erin work (as a travel nurse) and the boys went to school online (they started back in person in mid-March and finished the school year in Dublin). We did a lot of traveling, including Cape Cod and many other great destinations. God is good as the break was very refreshing. I was able to discover new insights into... Church Growth as I worked on my Doctorate in Ministry. Erin, Maddux, Paxton, Lennox, and I are very eager to meet you. I will talk a lot about our listening to one another’s stories. In the first several months, that will be a large focus for me listening to and learning from you about your families, White Bluff, and the Savannah Community. I look forward to my family connecting with our new church family. I am humbled and honored to be your Pastor. Tomorrow (Wednesday), my family and I will focus on moving into the beautiful parsonage. Thursday will be my first official day in the office. Thank you for the generosity shown to us thus far. Many White Bluff leaders and members have gone above and beyond to make us feel welcomed. It means so much to us! As your Pastor, I hope that you will keep me in the loop on those who are in the hospital and sick. As COVID wains and opportunities become available for me to visit, I will seize the day. Many of us pastors have missed visiting others! For now, we’ll see you Sunday at 9:30 for worship and our reception at 10:30. I hope you will come so I can meet you. I do understand about COVID. If I miss you Sunday, I will make an effort to contact you soon. Thank you for the opportunity to serve in ministry with you.
