Our public schools are targets for radical propaganda, but we do not have to accept it or their curriculum. The power of this decision rests with every individual school board. The people are the controlling voice, the school board represents the community voice and the administrations are subject to the board. SEX ED FOR SOCIAL CHANGE? Did you know that there are two platforms for Sex Education in our schools? Whether on line or in the classroom, parents need to know which platform that their school has adopted. YOU can find out and YOU can opt students out in many states. Comprehensive Sex Education (CSE) sounds good, but is it really? We teach holistic sex education that centers on abstinence and medically accurate truth. We promote accurate information and not indoctrination ...that undermines the foundational family. Coaching students toward early sexual debut is irresponsible and delays the goals they hope to achieve for many reasons. This 6 minute video is a must watch - parents and grandparents, you need this information! Find out what your school is doing to safeguard your kids. Look into these organizations: Advocates for Youth, SIECUS, Etr Publishers, also look for curriculum that has the word "PREP" (Personal Responsibility Education Program) that may or may not be limited to a health class. Many of these organizations teach students to manage their own sexual health as young teenagers, teaching them how to choose their form of contraception and how to get transportation to clinics and stores without their parents knowledge. We are all about educating PARENTS in regard to Sex Education in the public schools. Today we introduce SIECUS, the Sexuality Information Counsel of the United States that is NOT a government agency. Their tag line is "Sex Ed for social change." They are political activists and they have a huge influence on the National Education Association. They impact the Health Sexuality Standards that come through our state board of education. For now, Georgia is still focused on abstinence, but that could change rapidly. Your family is so important! Some ideas for you to do together this Christmas: put away the electronics and drive to another town to see Christmas lights, go caroling, make cookies, share them with public servants in town, make Christmas cards, use GLITTER! Decorate your yard, make snowflakes, call an old friend, go to church together, donate to a kids club and visit the nursing homes with pictures to put outside their windows. Go on a hike!
