TIME FOR THE BIG REVEAL! There’s nothing blah in this girls bedroom makeover! We had so much fun creating this NY glam style bedroom. Custom bench seat cushion design by Donna Giordano Window Treatments. From the wall color, accent wall, accessories and artwork, window treatments, and window seat - this bedroom turned out amazing! #glamstyle #tiffanycodecor #glambedroom #girlbedroommakeover #blackwhitewallpaper #welcomehomeinteriors #georgiadesigners ... Second, a perfect bedroom for a boy. When he needs a break from his studies at his desk, he can shoot some hoops or relax & read a book on his custom bench seat made by Donna Giordano Window Treatments. The accessories and artwork are on point in this room - it turned out amazing too! #boysbedroommakeover #boysbedroomdecor #footballdecor #industrialstyle #boysindustrialrooms #industrialdecor

How pretty are these Motif basins?!

Although the Mart seemed a bit of a ghost town during this pandemic, we were able to catch some trends and beautiful collections from our favorite vendors. We visited Uttermost, Caracole, and Imax to name a few. In wall art, we noticed many simple lined art. And art taking on a new shape...the canvas was shaped into hexagons. I found this very unique. We continue to see velvet in deep shades of emerald green as well as accents of gold.... Round mirrors and dark walls are still trending. Succulents are used in centerpieces in different colors and designed in wooden bowls. One of Michele’s favorite, bathroom textiles and mats with slight threads of gold and shimmer. If you know Michele, she loves all the bling and glitter! Enjoy some of our photos from our recent visit!

Never forget about lighting when you are designing! I love using multiple shapes & different size pendants. Lights can add so much interest, style & texture to any space. What are your favorite type of pendants?

With fall quickly approaching and the weather changing, I wanted to talk about decorating your dining room table for fall! We posted recently about decorating your front porch for fall and now we’ll move inside and talk about creating a great fall centerpiece for your dining room table. Fall is about gathering together and I imagine a lot of you share many meals with family and loved ones around the table. There are a few quick steps to make your table look ready for fall and... create a great centerpiece. Step 1 is to find a base. Think mirror, tray, wood slice, wood box, galvanized bucket, etc. Step 2 is to add candles or lighting. You can use fall scented candles such as pumpkin, spice or apples, or unscented candles to give a warm effect. If you don’t want to use candles, you can find some really great lanterns, hurricanes or vases for your centerpiece. The idea is to give your centerpiece some depth and height. Step 3 is to finish with fillers and florals. You can use harvest stems, small pumpkins, garland, and more. Here are some photos for inspiration. Happy decorating! :-) Photo credits: Country Living Magazine, Shelterness, Decoratist

Our last palette is Palette #4: TAPESTRY Exuberance meets restraint in today’s more curated take on maximalism. The vibrancy of this palette including lavish pinks and greens finds inspiration in classicism, but with just a touch of cutting edge. INFLUENCES: Security, Creative Expression, Classic Revisited, Sensory Exploration... Palette #3: CONTINUUM The optimism and imagination of mid-century modernists inspired designs that reached high into the sky and deep into the sea. This palette of white, charcoal and pops of color celebrates that spirit as it bounds fearlessly into the future. I don’t know about you but being stuck at home during this pandemic started to get the wheels rolling in my head about updating and refreshing my home. I was bored of staring at my surroundings. I’m sure you’re all feeling a need for refreshing the environment you’re in. Which had me wondering - what’s trending for 2021? Trends are in the works at least a year before they launch. Color scientists research market trends in consumer behavior in fashion and home design among oth...er areas. 2021 continues to be a more calming group of palettes, similar to 2020, from paint colors to fabrics and accents in décor. Today, we’ll start filling you in on paint color trends for 2021. We will be breaking down fabrics & textures and then décor later. My go to resources for paint colors are Sherwin Williams and Benjamin Moore. You will notice these two and other brands will carry similar or same tones with different names. Below are the color trends by Sherwin Williams for 2021 broken down into 4 palettes - we’ll cover each palette over the next few days. Remember, paint is the least expensive way to refresh your space! Hope you enjoy these beautiful palettes and get inspired to renew your spaces. Palette #1: SANCTUARY Nature’s ability to cultivate wellness and calm is more welcome than ever. The nurturing hues of this palette, including warm neutrals and natural tones, forge the connection between the modern built environment and the living world. Time for some inspiration!

Have you heard of Cottagecore? It’s not a new trend really, but it’s a hot trend in home decorating now, in part thanks to COVID-19. When we had to hunker down and stay at home to quarantine, a lot of people started to garden, baked and cooked a lot more including bread and meals with their newly grown herbs, and all of a sudden people had time to DIY a lot of things they had put off for so long. People tried to make their space as comfortable and happy as possible during a ...time of such uncertainty and nervousness. Cottagecore is essentially what it sounds like - it’s using old fashioned decor to make your space cozy, comfortable, romantic, whimsical, and relaxing. For me, it’s similar to farmhouse or country style or even shabby chic, only with an extra homemade flair. But think more meadow and countryside than farm. Things like antiques, simple vases with greenery, ceramic mugs to sip tea, doilies and tablecloths, dried herbs and flowers, milk bottles and mason jars, and other handmade items. Neutral and pastel colors, floral prints, wooden items, and more. Here are some Cottagecore inspiration photos for you. What do you think - yay or nay? #cottagecore #homedecor #welcomehomeinteriors #decorating Photo credits: Photo 1 by Stephen Kent Johnson - domino.com Photo 2 by Future / Brent Darby / Styling Pippa Blenkinsop - realhomes.com Photo 3 by Photographee.eu/Shutterstock - article by Ashley Tibbits - thezoereport.com Photo 4 by John Lewis and Partners - goodhomesmagazine.com

For our last introduction, our fearless, creative, tech-savvy leader, and the owner & lead designer of WHI, Michele Kiefert! Michele started WHI back in 2007. After earning her bachelor's degree in IT and working in the tech industry for many years, Michele knew she wasn’t satisfied and set out to discover her passion. It wasn’t long before she realized her love for interior design, but also knew that as the world of interior decorating and design was changing, she could co...mbine technology and art to benefit her business and her clients. Her favorite projects range from renovations and redesigns to finish selections, color consultations, and concept creations. Although Michele’s favorite color is glitter, she prides herself on her ability to connect to her clients’ style and create homes based on their taste and needs. Fun facts: Michele’s friends would describe her as generous, spontaneous, fun, kind, loving, welcoming, and always willing to help. Michele’s idea of a relaxing day would be to spend time at the beach, in the sun with her toes in the sand, listening to the waves. Sadly, Atlanta isn’t a day trip to the nearest beach, so most days she spends time with her family and pets at home (especially during Covid season.) Normally, Michele enjoys socializing with friends, dancing, taking cruises and vacations, eating sweets, shooting guns, and riding roller coasters! She’s been to 20 different countries so far, and oh yeah, was once bitten by a Copperhead snake in her own backyard! Click the following link to learn more about Michele! http://ow.ly/TxZV50Bk8GB

Labor Day is here and sadly it marks the end of lazy summer days, but it also marks the beginning of Fall. YAY! Fall is my favorite season, brisk air, cozy sweaters, and everything pumpkin spice I usually start to decorate the front porch to welcome my favorite season. So, I have gathered some inspiration ideas and thought I should share them with you below. Before you run out the door, I recommend you make an inventory of what you have. Maybe you just need some spray pai...nt to update the color of your faux pumpkins and gourds, or maybe ribbon and new stems to freshen up your door wreath. Definitely a pillow or two and a cozy throw for your porch chairs. Grab your favorite pumpkin spice beverage and enjoy decorating your Fall front porch. I hope these ideas inspired you So, how are you going to be decorating for fall at your house?

Yes, we’ve been around awhile. Over 13 years, to be exact. Caring for our clients has always been our first priority, leaving our social media presence pretty quiet. But we’ve expanded a bit in the last few years and we can’t ignore the requests by our online followers any longer! So what better way to kick off our awakening to the new (old) world of social media than to introduce you to our team? Today, we’re saying hello to our favorite client relations/virtual assistant/lo...cal friend, Heather Bedillion! Heather joined WHI in August 2018 as our first team member and virtual assistant. She’s our clients’ first point of contact when reaching out to WHI and also assists with scheduling, website updating, small projects, and marketing/admin tasks.
