What is Float Therapy? Imagine the feeling of being suspended in space. That’s the feeling you get floating in 900 pounds of dissolved epsom salt. More than sim...ple relaxation, epsom salt or magnesium sulfate, is a mineral that nearly everyone is deficient in. When you float in the pod your body absorbs these minerals and your body’s magnesium and sulfate levels increase. This helps to calm your nervous system and enhance your body’s natural ability to heal. The deep relaxation state you enter when floating helps to reduce stress by lowering cortisol levels. Blood flow is stimulated and endorphins are released. Endorphins are chemicals in the brain that reduce feelings of pain and trigger positive feelings. Studies have shown that floatation therapy can even help with depression. The endorphins released during a float last beyond the float session itself. The extreme buoyancy that individuals experience when floating is essentially like experiencing anti-gravity. This allows those with joint or muscle pain much needed relief that they cannot get otherwise. Float your way to less stress, anxiety, depression, and pain. From our connection, she was able to speak to the struggles I went into our session with this morning. We are a star and our purpose is to shine. When we do not shine, we go against nature. It is up to us to trust and have confidence in the process, and do what we have been put here to do. We give love, light, and we are a beacon. Yoga nidra was practiced by ancient sages so they could consciously watch their samskaras, or the "impressions of the mind." They could also purify their samskaras in order to come closer to liberation, or moksha. The practice of yoga nidra not only involves pratyhara, but also requires pranayama (breathing techniques) and dharana ("concentration"), which are the fourth and sixth limbs of Ashtanga yoga. In yoga nidra, the practitioner enters their alpha state and their focus ...shifts to the third eye chakra(sahasrara). It also stimulates the hormones in the pineal gland, which releases melatonin -- a horomone that reduces stress, boosts the immune system and helps prevent illness. Regular practice helps harmonize the brain hemispheres, promoting better mental performance. Yes, someone can Google "best deep tissue massage in MyTown" to find someone who has good SEO juice (and may you ARE that person!). If they find you online with no references, they'll probably be reading testimonials. But what if they can't find you online? Referrals are an ideal way to have the clients who love you share the benefits of your skills with their friends, co-workers, and neighbors.
