Even in our darkest days, God's plan for us doesn't change. Old Testament Scripture: Jeremiah 29:11 New Testament Scripture: 1 Peter 2:9 Thank you for joining us. Below are ways to give to Westtown UMC, and your gifts goes towards the ministries, upkeep, and maintenance of the church.... Instructions to give: 1) You may give to Westtown UMC through Givelify at https://giv.li/q2eb6u ,or on our website at www.westtownumcalbany.com 2) You may also mail a check to: Westtown United Methodist Church 2400 West Gordon Ave. Albany Ga 31707 Below are ways to continue ministries while we are away from the church. Ways to continue ministries: 1) Check on the vulnerable population in your family, of your friends, and in your congregation. If you are not sick, offer to run errands for them to minimize their contact with crowds. Remember to minimize your risk as well. 2) Continue to pray and reach out to friends, family, and members of your congregation that are part of the vulnerable population. 3) Do not hoard supplies. Take what you need, leave what you can so the next person may have basic necessities. 4) If you have an abundance of an item, be willing to share with someone who does not have the means to get supplies. 5) Check on college students in your congregation to make sure they have made it back from school, and that they have basic necessities. Some college students are homeless so we must think and pray about how to assist them. 6)Check with your local hospital to see if you can send cards, scriptures, words of encouragement to medical staff, and those affected by Covid-19 (You do not need names). 7) Donate or make masks for hospitals (make sure hospitals can take home-made masks). 8) Donate food and money to your local food bank. 9) Volunteer at programs that feed students while they are out of school. 10) Engage in Social Justice issues that provide basic human rights to all.
