So I checked the calendar and it was 4/13, not quite yet. Next time I checked it was 4/17??? How in the world can that be? April 15th is the birthday of the "home" litter, so despite celebrating late, I wish all puppies a fabulous day. (In no particular order:) Happy Birthday Henry, Rolo, Lemon, Ozzy, Bentley, Fin, Milli and Sadie
If you bought a puppy from me or know me well, you know I am terrified of a condition called "bloat" which can lead to death in just a few hours. The German Shepherd Club of Atlanta is having a guest speaker covering this topic in tomorrow's club meeting. If you can, I recommend to attend (open to public) because every dog owner needs to be well educated on this condition. Check out the website for details: https://www.gsdcatlanta.org/
To our extended families in AL, please stay safe.
Apparently today is happy national Golden Retriever day. Hm, nothing special, everyday is happy golden retriever day at our den. ;)
Red is growing nicely and very sad and bored now that all his siblings are gone. He loves to dig in 'hot' ant hills. ;) For those interested, I used "Nature's Specialties Plum Silky Pet Shampoo for Pets" to bathe the puppies. I actually use that on all my dogs. What I like about this shampoo is not only does it smell good, but the smell lasts up to 7 days. I've had many shampoos where the dog smells doggy after just 24 hrs. You can buy this shampoo on amazon and a small bottle will likely last you a lifetime because it's concentrate. https://www.amazon.com/Natures-Specialties-Si//ref=sr_1_1
The puppies had another busy week this week. They had a photo shoot and got stacked and they got to go outside and experience new surfaces and new environments. In just a few days they'll be going to their new loving homes.
What a busy week the puppies had. A lot of new experiences and plenty of visitors already and new toys...
The puppies had a big day today. They had their first car ride to the vet. No problems and no accidents. All puppies got a clean bill of health and not one of them cried out when they got microchipped (those needles are long and thick). What troopers they are! Now that they have been vaccinated the puppies can accept visitors.
Those rascals figured out how to climb out of the whelping box 2 days ago, so now the door closes when we're not in the room.
I got my days all mixed up last week. I almost missed new year's eve because I thought it was the next day then I showed up for my friend's birthday party a day early and here we are the puppy pictures a day late. Enjoy!
