We hope that everyone is safe after last night's big storms. The office currently does not have power. We are still seeing scheduled appointments but have limited phone service. If you need anything please send us an email! We will update everyone once our power is back on.

Wieuca Animal Clinic would like to give a shout out to all of our awesome, hardworking, and dedicated employees this week. This week is something special in our industry, it is National Vet Tech Week! Even though it suggests it is only for our Nurses we know that without our whole team working together we would not be able to provide the care and compassion we strive to give to all of our four-legged patients on a daily basis. This year has been a rough one...We aren't able ...to see our four-legged patient's parents face to face like we want to and the staff has been running around the parking lot in the summer heat and the hurricane season rain. And yet they have all done it with the same dedication, compassion, and smile on their faces they would have if these were normal times. They have made the COVID curbside transition this year as seamless as possible and they did it in hopes of keeping everyone safe and the doors open for business so that we can be there when our patients need us. To all of our staff, we stay Thank You!

Wieuca Animal Clinic is proud to serve our community during these ever-changing times by proving Curbside Service. How does that work? 1. Upon arrival for your pet's appointment please call or text to let us know you have arrived.... 2. Once checked in your nurse will review all of your pet's needs over the phone and then will come out to retrieve your pet. 3. The doctor will examine your pet and call you to review your pet's health and answer any questions you may have. 4. The nurse will bring your pet back out to your car. ***To make this process as comfortable as possible we ask that everyone remain in the car with the air conditioning on as needed during these upcoming summer months. ***Please note that the number calling you to discuss your pet's appointment may be different than the number you called to check-in. We have several outgoing lines with different numbers. We do offer telemedicine appointments for those who are unable to come to the clinic. **Please note that telemedicine is not appropriate for all types of illnesses.

As Georgia continues to reopen many businesses Wieuca Animal Clinic will continue its curbside service through at least the end of May. Please be sure to call ahead for medication pickups so that we may prepare them in advance and have them ready for pickup in our curbside box. For all appointments please call upon arrival so that the front desk can check you in and have your nurse come out to you. We appreciate everyone's patience and understanding in these ever-changing and uncertain times.

As everyone tries to stay healthy and safe at home we here at Wieuca Animal Clinic are still open to help keep your pets healthy. In order for us to keep seeing patients, we ask that anyone that has any been treated or has had symptoms of COVID-19 recently to please call the office and ask to see if your pet's health concern qualifies for a telemedicine consult. This will allow us to treat your pet from the comfort of your home while you recover and will help keep our staff safe. We appreciate everyone's cooperation with our curbside appointments and telemedicine consults and we hope to see everyone face to face soon.

As we continue to follow the state mandates and recommendations from the CDC we are open for medication refills and limited appointments. We are asking that anyone who needs medication refills to call ahead so that we can prepare the medications and have them ready for curbside pick up. We are currently forward booking wellness appointments as well as elective surgeries at this time. For those that are at high risk but still have concerns about your pet's health please feel... free to call the clinic to see if your pet's condition qualifies for a telemedicine appointment. We hope that everyone stays safe and healthy.

As things continue to change we are modifying our schedule and hours to do our part in keeping everyone safe. We are asking all those that are scheduled with us over the next two weeks to reschedule all wellness appointments to accommodate our limited staff and resources at this time. This will allow us to care for any sick patients and keep you and our staff healthy.

The team here at Wieuca Animal Clinic knows that this is a stressful and uncertain time and we would like to share with you some of the steps were are taking to keep you and your pet safe and healthy. We are instituting reduced and altered scheduling at our clinic in order to reduce client overcrowding in the clinic and examination rooms. For appointments, we will be requesting that only one person accompany their pet to their appointment unless absolutely necessary.... We will suggest to clients to wait in their cars with their pets until called in order to reduce casual contact in waiting rooms. Some appointments may be held in larger, more open areas including outside treatment areas. We will request that if clients are ill that they not come to their appointment but to seek medical advice for themselves. We will be happy to authorize another person on the client’s account so their pet can be treated. For our clients who are most vulnerable or caring for someone who is we will be glad to set up a phone call or video chat so we can work with you and get your pet treated by telemedicine. We are increasing clinic cleaning protocols based on the most up to date recommendations from the CDC in preventing the spread of COVID-19 and other infectious respiratory viruses. As you are aware, the situation is constantly changing and updates and recommendations regarding social interaction and travel are being altered daily. Our commitment is to our clients and our staff and we are instituting these protocols in an attempt to reduce exposure. If you have any questions please feel free to contact Wieuca Animal Clinic at any time via phone, text, or email. The Staff at Wieuca Animal Clinic
