As we prepare to pay homage to a few phenomenal African American women during our Black History production HER Story, we’d like to recognize one of WCHS’s ver...y own history makers! Deputy Steele was the first female African American Deputy Sheriff in Wilkinson County. She’s been with the Wilkinson County Sheriffs Department for 22 years and assigned as the school district resource officer for 12 years. Not only is she a gem to the county but to us here as well! Join us in celebrating HER today and everyday. In a fight til the end in overtime, the Warriors Basketball season comes to an end with a 94- 96 loss to the Patriots of Wilcox County during the third round of... the GHSA Class A Public Boys Basketball playoffs. You all came back tonight and played a good game! Overall it was a great season and you all left it all on the court tonight so be proud of all that was accomplished this season. Celebrating Black History Month at WCPS: Check out the Black History Quilt made by students in Mrs. Baugh's Pre-K Class... The PK students ripped paper and glue...d on the pieces to create the quilt.
