Happy Motivational Monday My favorite word is Amazing. I love the word Amazing because it is better than average and okay. I often say, Stop settling f...or okay when amazing is an option. When we settle, a message of Not good enough is created in the brain. Do NOT be afraid to dream big and think big. You are worthy of amazing relationships and experiences. Disconnect from people who do not add to your happiness. Connect to people who offer: Encouragement Love Praise Kindness Thoughtfulness Be intentional about hanging out in relationships where you feel celebrated and not tolerated. Feeling tolerated will chip away at your inspiration. Happy Saturday This past Thursday, I was inducted into the Alumni Hall of Fame for the School of Education at Jacksonville State University. The honor was f...or my work in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. When I graduated, receiving an award or honor for my work did not cross my mind. The recognition inspired me even more to help others understand emotional wellness. Additionally, the event confirmed for me that praise is better than criticism. Praise is a behavior we get to choose to raise the esteem in children and enhance other relationships. What? You thought I was going to do this post without a tip, tool or strategy?
