Women's Health of Augusta 09.10.2020

Dear patients and friends, These are trying times. COVID-19 has become the biggest health crisis of our lifetime, but like you, we at Women’s Health of Augusta will overcome this by supporting each other. One way for us to do this is to be there for all your health needs. Our office, like other health care facilities is considered an essential service, so we are doubling our efforts to go by shelter in place guidelines as we continue to tend to your health needs. Unfortuna...tely breast cancers, abnormal Paps, hormone issues, pelvic pain and hundreds of other medical conditions don’t stop in the midst of a pandemic. But we’ve got your back. Starting April 6th, all our docs will be working a reduced office hour schedule to meet your needs, whatever they are. That means we can see you for yearly Paps and mammograms, medication needs, hormone issues, virtually any ob/gyn related issue. If you currently have an appointment anytime in April, you will be getting a phone call from our office soon to either confirm or possibly reschedule you (to reduce the volume of folks in the office at any given time.) Just so you know, we take your concerns very seriously so here is what we will be doing to ensure your safety as well as providing you top quality care. We are limiting both the number of doctors seeing patients as well as scheduled appointments to guarantee we meet/exceed social distancing guidelines. You will even have the option of waiting in your car and getting a text when we are ready to put you in a room directly. We will be screening all patients for any COVID-19 symptoms or suggestive histories and, if they are at risk, will be immediately referred for testing (they will not even come in the office.) All our staff will wear masks for your protection, and we will have a dedicated person cleaning all surfaces every hour. You will not need to be concerned about coming for your appointment, but if you still have reservations we have the ability to see anyone through our telemedicine portal. We know that these are tough times for everyone, but we pledge to do our part to keep you healthy, happy, and at your best for when times get better.

In the interest of both patients and employees, and following current guidelines, we are asking all patients coming for their appointments (and yes, we are seeing folks regularly!) please wear a mask if you have access to one. We are physical distancing in the office, but the mask just adds an additional layer of protection. In the interest of both patients and employees, and following current guidelines, we are asking all patients coming for their appointments (and yes, we are seeing folks regularly!) please wear a mask if you have access to one.
