March 17, 2020 NOTICE TO MEMBERS OF WOODLAWN BAPTIST CHURCH & FRIENDS In order to provide for the safety of our congregation during this outbreak of the Coronavirus, the Fellowship of Deacons, in consultation with the Finance Committee, Personnel Committee, and Pastor have decided to alter the schedule of services and events for our church.... Effective immediately, all worship services and all events and meetings of Woodlawn Baptist Church are canceled through Wednesday, April 1st. Please share this information with our membership and friends. We anticipate that our next worship service will be on Palm Sunday, April 5th. We will let you know any further changes to this schedule. We encourage all members to continue to faithfully give our tithes, offerings, and Annie Armstrong Missions Offerings during this change in schedule. Expenses will continue! Please mail your offering to the church at: 407 Talmadge Ave, Garden City, Georgia 31408. We also plan to have an opportunity for electronic giving available next week. Instructions will follow for those who are interested. During this shutdown, our Church Office will be open to answer any questions you may have and to forward ministry needs to our Pastor and Deacons as they arise. Office hours are 9:00 am 3:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Unfortunately, due to the extreme nature of this virus, none of our leaders will have access to minister in the hospitals for many days to come. Lastly, our Pastor plans to Livestream through Facebook a worship/teaching time at 11:00 am for the next two Sundays. We will send instructions about this later. If anyone has questions, please feel free to call the Deacon assigned to your family or our Pastor. Let us all pray for God’s intervention during this crisis.
