Yellow River Water Trail

The YRWT partnered with Gwinnett Recycles on a cleanup of the 5-Forks-Trickum Rd access point area, we had a very fun and productive cleanup. 14 bags total, including 5 of those huge barrel liner bags, lots of odd ball stuff, signs, car parts & pieces, skateboard, etc. Interesting was the forensic analysis that GR undertook to document the Brands of Litter items. Example Bud Lite is the preferred beer of litterers on waterways, I’ve confirmed that on other rivers cleanups too.

Rivers as an Economic Engine. . . If your County is lucky enough to have a river, let your Commssioners know it has great potential for recreation, quality of life, tourism & healthy economic development.

Good News for all GA Rivers... Thank You . . . Georgia voters overwhelmingly put the Trust back in trust funds!... Let’s finally get the cleanups we paid for! #TrustFundHonesty
