It was an incredible day for the 2021 Lake Hartwell Y Triathlon. God blessed us with perfect weather! Our volunteers are the absolute BEST and they worked hard to make sure that each athlete had a great experience. Thank you to each and every person who played a roll in the success of this event. I’m sorry that I don’t have pictures of everyone but I did get a few that sum up the great day that we had.

Volleyball Camp We worked hard, we learned all of the basic fundamentals, we had fun, but most importantly we talked about Jesus. The Bible instructs us to be imitators of Christ (Ephesians 5:1; 1 Corinthians 11:1), and that we are to do all things for the glory of God (Colossians 3:17; 23). When our hearts are aligned with the Spirit, everything we do even playing a simple game of volleyball becomes an act of worship to our Creator. I am thankful for this week of volleyball camp. I am thankful for each of these awesome kiddos. I am thankful for this YMCA! Megan Lykins, Sports Director

In celebration of our 25th birthday, we would like to share some fun memories will you all! Here is #longtimemember Kay Ankerich. When asked What has the Y meant to you?, Kay responded: The YMCA has played a huge part in my overall health. I joined David Leard’s Kettle Bell and TRX classes a couple of years ago along with Sally Turpin’s spin classes, and that’s where I noticed a difference in how I feel and look. The classes and people in them help motivate you to keep going. Cheri Griggs would text me if I missed a class to see if I was okay and to let me know that she missed me. The friendship you gain is a bonus. We would pray together if there was a need in our classes. The whole YMCA is positive for me and it can be for you also. #BFYMemories
