YF friends, we hope you received our email or saw the announcement video in service this weekend about our upcoming Fall Series, starting this Thursday night! This week, we'll hear from our Senior Pastor Jeff Norris about his vision for the vital role that younger Christians like us must play at Perimeter specifically and in the church in general, leading the way in engaging the chaos of our world with the love of Christ! You'll also get to hear from Women's Ministry Director... Jamie Voss JHi Director Davon Stack, and Kids Discipleship Director Sarah Merrick in panel discussion with Jeff and Garrett about how we can lead in our work, our families, our relationships, etc. regardless of whether we have positions of authority. We think this is going to be great and extremely important and beneficial for our Young Families community! Young Families friends, you may have noticed that we are not putting out a lot of resources with advice right now. Instead, we have felt called to equip you to lead your families primarily in crying out to the Lord in prayer and lament in this season. Along those lines, we have added another section to perimeter.org/yfresources with recommendations for a few other online prayers and liturgies, and a couple helpful books.... One is Tim Keller's devotional in the Psalms. Get it now, if you can! Either way, spend significant time in God's book of songs, prayers, and lamentations. There is an entire book of the Bible, written to help give voice to the anxiety, grief, and fear you have probably felt (and will feel) in this time. We need to dig deep roots with our families to weather this storm, and the Psalms are a great aid in that! Several of you have let us know that you are using these resources. We are so happy to hear that! Feel free to tag us and show us what it looks like at your house!
