Bishop Parked celebrates Mass at the Cathedral of Savannah

Bishop Parkes visites Mount de Sales Academy in Macon this morning. He was warmly welcomed by the Chaplain Father Casey, OFM, the President of the Academy, Mr David Held, administrators, teachers and students. Keep up the good work!

The Macon Deanery priests gathered for prayer, lunch and reflection today with Bishop Parkes. Before the meeting, the Bishop installed Father Patrick Tuttle, OFM, as Pastor of Holy Spirit Parish.

Yesterday Bishop Parkes spent the day in Augusta and visited Saint Mary on the Hill School, Immaculate Conception School, and the priests of the deanery. He was very happy to be greeted by the students and enjoyed the conversation with the Augusta Deanery priests.

Bishop Parkes confirmed 55 young men and women at Saint Mary on the Hill in Augusta, and also visited the new thrift shop of Catholic Relief Services.

Bishop Parkes had a great first visit to Aquinas High School in Augusta. He received a jersey from the football team with a #15 (as the fifteenth bishop of Savannah). Go Irish!

Archbishop Hartmayer visited Saint Vincent de Paul Seminary in Florida and celebrated Mass this morning with our Savannah seminarians along with the men from Atlanta.
