A sad farewell to one of our favorite and faithful students.

We are open and ready to dance again. Group lessons Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday at 8 pm with a dance following. We are stocked with sanitizer and gloves if you feel better with them. We will try to find some masks if you want them too.

Still here with sanitizer and rubber cloves for those who are healthy and want a diversion of dance. If you are sick are in the high risk group and do not want to come, stay home but if you are healthy, come along tonight at 8 pm until.

We had a great dance this evening. We gave out masks and rubber gloves and had plenty of sanitizer on hand.

Yes we are still open and working. This is out of concern for others as well as ourselves. If we quit paying our bills then the landlord will have to terminate several employees and since they are a charity that assists people with mental disabilities then they may have to decrease some of their services which will cause hardship on many people. This thing has a snowball effect on many people.

We at the Butterfly Ballroom plan to remain open since very few of our students fit into the high risk age group and those who do are healthier than people half their age. We plan to use the same preventive methods that we do during the flu season. According the South Coast Health Website, If you have flu-like symptoms and/or have traveled outside of the country in the last 14 days call your physician before presenting yourself for treatment. Currently there are no confirmed cases of the virus in the Savannah Area which is an area of nearly 150,000 people.

To all the Butterflies and prospective Butterflies. Our website is not yet updated because I have not been able to get into the site to edit it. The host changed their programming and after three or four hours of trying, I have not been able to update it.

Don't ever say you cannot dance. Even robots can learn the mechanics.

Just a brief reminder, we will be closed on the the 28th and 29th for Thanksgiving. It is the only time when you can be sure we will closed since we always close on those two days.

Just a reminder. There is only one week before the annual Halloween dance. Get your costumes ready and come next Friday at 8 pm. There will be no group class so we can meet and greet and take pictures.
