Have you met our new store manager, Tori?! If you have, chances are you left a little more loved than when you arrived. This gal has a heart for women, and a serious love for pretty dresses. She’s a huge believer in loving with a Christ-like love, and our little shop is so, so, so much better off for having her around. We asked Tori what her best advice is for brides who are shopping for the perfect wedding gown, and we think her wisdom definitely rings true! Have fun wi...th it!! Shopping for your dress is supposed to be a fun and joyful experience! I suggest keeping it intimate when it comes to the number of guests. But, if it were me and I had a larger group coming with me, I’d live by what this recent bride of ours said to her group: I’ll take compliments, but not opinions. I LOVE that idea. As much as you want everyone else to like what you wear on your big day, in the end, it’s YOUR wedding dress! Wear what YOU love and what makes YOU comfortable. It doesn’t have to fit your venue or your theme. It just has to make you feel like the most amazing, confident bride! And once you find the one, stop searching. How many bridal shops do you know of that {encourage} you to visit other shops?! At A&V, we actually suggest that our brides do a little dress shopping before visiting with us! Sounds crazy, right? Stick with us here. Wondering how to prepare for your visit?! To be best prepared to find your gown, we typically suggest visiting at least one other shop beforehand, and making us your { l a s t } stop. Needless to say, we certainly don’t mind the comparison! You’ll find that w...e carry many of the big-name designers for between 50-75% off the typical retail price! With over 500 gowns on our floor, we have one of the largest selections to chose from and you can’t beat the price! All of our designer gowns are one-of-a-kind so once it sells, it’s gone for good! Due to the nature of our off-the-rack model, there’s no guaranteeing that your favorite gown will still be available if you return at a later date and it can be heartbreaking to find out that your favorite gown has already sold. At other shops, you can always return to place an order, but with our shop, inventory is constantly changing each week so come ready to find your gown! If there’s anyone who you absolutely {need} by your side to help you make a decision, make sure to bring them along!You can also FaceTime in those who can’t be there during your visit. On Saturday walk-ins, we require a $25 deposit, and on Wednesday Private Appointments, we require a $50 deposit to admit the bride & her guests. As always, the deposit goes back towards your same-day gown purchase! So to help you make the most of your visit (and your dollars!) we suggest that gals do a little shopping ahead of time. After you’ve seen how our designer gowns’ pricing & quality compares (spoiler: the same gowns retail between $1,500-$3,000 at other shops!), we think you’ll have a bit more peace of mind when it comes to making a decision!
