Meet the Team Monday: Matthew Scruggs This week we introduce you to our Sous Chef, Matthew Scruggs. His interest in cooking started way back in a small town in... Alabama. Growing up, he was tasked with cooking for the entire family just like his other siblings, despite being the youngest. His culinary interest stems from his family. His father is from California and so he passed down his love for Tex-Mex. Matt’s signature enchiladas are actually what stole the heart of his wife, Tesia, years ago! His mother is from Vietnam, so he also loves to cook Asian food. You can thank Matt for one of our most favorited daily specials: The Bahn Mi Burger. He is currently an honor student in the culinary program at Albany Technical College, where he will be graduating next month. Go Titans! He and his wife moved to Albany two years ago, and he quickly found his place in Albany at The Bread House. He has been an invaluable team member ever since. Matt plans to continue learning different culinary techniques and bring you some of the finest cuisine in the city! Matt, you were an answered prayer and we are so lucky to have you.
