Today we recognize Skylar Stephens as a recipient of a $1,000 scholarship from the Altamaha EMC Foundation. Skylar is a senior at Swainsboro High School and will be attending University of Georgia in the fall. She plans to major in accounting with a minor in marketing. She then plans to attend law school and become an attorney. Skylar is the daughter of Scott and Ellen Stephens. Best of luck to Skylar in her future endeavors.

Kaitlyn Corner of Robert Toombs Christian Academy is today's featured scholarship winner. Her proud parents are Chad and Jennifer Corner of Tarrytown. Kaitlyn will use the $1,000 scholarship when she attends Southeastern Technical College this fall to begin her studies to obtain her nursing degree. She then plans to become a Registered Nurse and wants to work in an ICU at a hospital of her choice. She wants to attend graduate school to become a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist. Best of luck to Kaitlyn as she pursues her dreams and goals.

Today's featured scholarship winner is Andy Martin. A senior at Swainsboro High School, Andy will be attending University of Georgia in the fall where he plans to major in Business Management. He aspires to have a business of his own in the future. Andy is the son of Ela and Luis Machado. Andy is one of four local students to be awarded a $1,000 scholarship to help with college expenses. The scholarships are funded through our Operation Round Up program. Best wishes to Andy as he embarks on the next chapter of his life.

The Altamaha EMC Foundation recently awarded four scholarships worth $1,000 each to local high school seniors. The scholarships are funded through our Operation Round Up program. We will feature the four winners on our Facebook page during the next week. Today's featured winner is Riley Corner. Riley is the daughter of Chad and Jennifer Corner. She is a senior at Robert Toombs Christian Academy. Riley plans to attend Southeastern Technical College to obtain an Associate of Science Nursing degree and then become a Registered Nurse. Her long-range plans include becoming a Nurse Anesthetist. Congratulations to Riley. We wish you all the best.
