It has now been 40 years since I started studying Shorin Ryu Karate-do and Shudokan Karate-do under Jay Sandweiss Shihan. Karate has had a profound impact on my life and brought me great joy. I taught a special class yesterday for my students, and we had a great party last night. Thank you, Sensei, for all you have taught me. You are still my inspiration, and I strive to pass on the teachings of traditional Okinawan Karate-do that you taught me.
