Congratulations to our first "Hero of the Week" on 107.7 The Breeze... Deputy Joe Williams of the Banks County Sheriff's Office. Deputy Williams recently helped... Mr. Nathan Harris and his family during a trip through Northeast Georgia. The Harris family is from Florida, and broke down in an unfamiliar area - with no way to get anywhere. Deputy Williams provided them with assistance. The family was then able to get their car fixed and get back on the road. He was quite literally a lifesaver. We are grateful to have him working and serving in our community! In honor of Deputy Williams kindness and act of going beyond the call of duty, he will receive a FREE meal from our sponsors at Chick-fil-A in Commerce (near I-85).

The Appalachian Regional Drug Enforcement Office and Banks County Sheriff's Office made several arrests and drug seizures earlier this week in Banks County. https://gbi.georgia.gov//2021-01/drug-arrests-banks-county
