Following Savannah College of Art and Design graduate Bethany Suzanne's win with "The Corinne" hairstyle in a Paul Mitchell School competition, she furthered he...r inspiration by creating Bonaventure & Savannah inspired jewelry for her collection! Wearable as necklaces, easily pinned into hair or onto clothing! Bethany's website info can be found inside of the video where she demonstrates how versatile the pieces are and will leave you the envy of those already in love with Savannah & Bonaventure! See more
We're always interested in how Bonaventure influences lives past the gates. Michigan native, Bethany Pardee, won a Fall coiffure competition at her Paul Mitchell School with a hair style inspired by historical Savannah figure Corinne Lawton and her much lauded cemetery life portrait in marble! Congratulations Bethany and wish you well in your artistry! Maybe your creation will have women going into salons worldwide and requesting "The Corinne!"

Hi everyone. Please understand that this post is NOT from The City of Savannah but before doing so, we inquired with the Savannah Cemetery Department about the pros and cons of such a post and have decided that it is of value. Otherwise the GOOD people of Savannah who respect graves, who would never dream of violating the grave of any individuals, not least of all soldier's who died in terrible battles, will never know how they're being treated by people who have no respect f...or such things. We ask that you share this post with others who care. Such understanding may also lead to their greater protection if the public acts sensibly by contacting city leaders at City Hall, The Savannah Police Department, and or The Cemetery Deptartment of Savannah to express their concerns and to see what might be able to happen in terms of creating a fund to help repair the damage and to also bring the vandals to justice while offering area cemeteries FULL TIME, round the clock security! They deserve no less! So without further delay, it saddens us to inform that the statue of Silence, who overlooks some 700 (of some 1500 here) soldiers, including those of The Union Army, and stands as a reminder of quietude and to "speak no ill of the dead" was vandalized in a well known Savannah cemetery. Her finger was broken first it would appear in a seperate incident and then said vandals returned to spray paint it last night or early morning hours. Cameras are being checked. Please remember to speak to city officials respectfully but yes, with passion and persistence! Savannah Mayor Van Johnson 912-651-6444 City Alderman Kesha Gibson-Carter (Area of vandalism) 912-346-4235 Chief of Police, Roy Minter, Jr (912) 652-6500 Admin, Dept of Cemeteries, Richard Gerbasi 912-651-6843 See more
