Good Morning! We are happy to report that Public Works has fixed all of the water main breaks, and they have flushed the pipes. The Public Works Director advises customers to flush their lines, using cold water only. There is currently no advisory to boil water; however, if your water is discolored to the point that you are uncomfortable using it for consumption, we do advise that you boil it. If your water is discolored, please do not wash white clothes in it until the discoloration has subsided, to avoid staining your clothes. Public Works is continuing to flush lines today; however, if your water continues to be cloudy or dingy, please call City Hall at 770-258-8980 to report it. Thank you for your patience and understanding!

There is also a water main break on Rome Street, which is also affecting a number of customers, especially those in the Rome St and Red Barn Rd area. Our crew is working to get water service restored as soon as possible!

Folks we do apologize for the interruption in water service. We have a major break that is affecting customers from all areas of our service area. We will update with additional information as soon as we can. At this point we do not know how long service may be out. Thank you for your patience! And thanks to our Public Works crew for the hard work they are doing to correct the problem!

Due to Martin Luther King, Jr Day on January 18, Bowdon City Council will have their regular monthly meeting on Tuesday, January 19, at 7 pm, at the Bowdon Municipal Building.

To our customers in the East College Street area, water will be shut off this afternoon to repair a water main break. At this time, we do not know how long water will be shut off. Please be patient, as our crews are working to get this break repaired as soon as possible. Thank you!
