WEDNESDAY WARRIOR! Today's Warrior is SSG Jeremy Young, US Army Infantry (Ret). Jeremy is a 100% disabled veteran due to injuries received during combat. He served a total of 27 months in Iraq. Jeremy is very involved with our organization. It is not at all uncommon to see him out supporting the North Georgia Ambush boys on a regular basis. Because of his constant involvement with the team, he is kind of become the "team" warrior. This year, at the Win For The Warrio...rs Tournament, our little "Speed Racer" Jayden Cohen will be playing in honor of SSG Jeremy Young. Jayden is quite quick on his feet and when he is not playing baseball, you'll find him on the football field. Jayden has previously had the opportunity to go fishing with Jeremy and another teammate, which they are hoping to do again someday soon. Motivational Monday... Persistence Wins!! Let's go attack the day!

WARRIOR WEDNESDAY!! Today’s warrior is E6 Jamie Srubas, United States Navy. He left his home in Columbia, MO and headed to Orlando, FL for Navy Boot Camp in 1986. Although he was fresh out of high school, he was eager to see the world. He spent 12 years on active duty and was able to travel all over Europe, Canada, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands. He was trained to repair submarines. He then spent 4 years recruiting other young men to join the Navy. Jamie then spent the ...next 14 years working for various computer companies and serving in the Naval Reserves. He now spends his free time with his family and friends... oh and on the golf course. Jamie always has a smile on his face and is very excited to be a part of Brave Beyond the Call. Jamie joined the organization last year, but we all know 2020 kept us from enjoying all the things we had planned therefore he was unable to spend very much time with his assigned player, Hudson Jalutkewicz. Hudson, or Huddy as his teammates call him, is usually found at first base or outfield. He is a straight A student and stays pretty quiet until you get to know him. He is very easy going and super pumped to have the opportunity to play baseball this year in Honor of his warrior, E6 Jamie Srubas. Feel free to support Huddy’s efforts in honoring Jamie at the 2021 Win For The Warriors Tournament, May 28-30. This was the reason Brave Beyond the Call was even started. The bond that a child makes with a warrior and vice versa is unbelievable and something we knew we must continue to cultivate. 2020 didn’t go as any of us planned, but we are gearing up for another great Win For The Warriors Tournament in 2021. It is with a heavy heart that Grey Team reports that Marine Sgt Maj George Shine has joined the 22 this week. Sergeant Major Shine saw combat in many campaigns ...and was decorated for valor and the recipient of a Bronze Star. This past Thursday, this brave Marine lost his battle to the invisible wounds of war. Please join us in offering prayers for the family he leaves behind.
