1111 spent the weekend at Camp Kiwanis. Service projects, food, fun, and great weather!

Cullen Pynn's Eagle Scout Court of Honor. Masked and distanced! We even live streamed the ceremony for those that couldn't attend.

Cullen Pynn's Eagle Scout Court of Honor was held last Saturday. It was a bit challenging with the COVID-19 issues, but masks & distancing seemed to work. Congratulations, Cullen!

Cullen Pynn's Eagle Scout Court of Honor WHEN: Sat, Aug 15, 2020, 5:30pm - 7:30pm, Ceremony at 6 WHERE: Sandy Creek Nature Center, Walker Hall Porch The ceremony will be outdoors at Sandy Creek Nature's Walker Hall facility and will include the use of masks and appropriate distancing. We're limiting the total number of participants as well. It looks to be rainy so bring raingear and a camp chair if you want to sit down.... Park at the nature center's main parking lot or at the Allen House & walk down the Greenway to Walker Hall - about a 5 minute journey. Presenting the Eagle award to a Scout is a special thing and we want to honor Cullen for his achievements. Scouts will assemble for the ceremony at 5:30pm and the event will start at 6pm. There will be a reception following and we should be done by 7:30. Lakeside Trail hike - 95 degrees!

1111 braved the 95+ degree heat & hiked the Lakeside Trail. The guys stopped to fix lunch with backpacking stoves. learned some map & compass skills, and completed some Tenderfoot, 2nd Class, and other requirements. Was fun to finally get to do something together again & learn how we could do it safely!

Congratulations to Noah Kilpatrick, Troop 1111's newest Tenderfoot Scout! Noah passed his Board of Review this evening.
