The Federal Trade Commission shares tips on how to avoid a scam. Don’t be a victim, stay aware!

Weather updates continued: Wednesday night/Thursday morning: * Possible light freezing rain in higher elevations (above 1500 ft) of far north GA... * Any impacts should end with warming temps mid to late morning Thursday Thursday afternoon/evening: * Strong to severe storms are possible as the front moves through Thursday afternoon into the evening * Mainly along and south of Columbus to Macon line (Slight Risk and Marginal Risk shown below) * Primary threats of damaging winds, isolated tornadoes, and hail * Widespread rainfall totals between 1.5 and 2 inches are expected (shown below) * Isolated flash flooding and minor river flooding is possible Thursday night/Friday morning: * A transition to a rain/snow mix is possible as the system exits late Thursday into early Friday across portions of far north GA (mainly higher elevations and north of the Atlanta metro area) * Little to no accumulation is expected at this time

The National Weather Service in Peachtree City has just released an update focusing on the potential for severe weather conditions across our area beginning Wednesday evening through early Friday. The next frontal system will again bring a mixed bag of possible impactful weather to the forecast area including wintry precip potential in parts of the far north and widespread rainfall and possible severe storms farther south. SPC has portions of central GA in a Day 3 Slight to Marginal Risk for Thursday. There's still a decent amount of uncertainty so please monitor weather updates for changes in the coming days.
