Today our department managers held a mock drill for the COVID-19 vaccine! As the state of Georgia begins to release the COVID-19 vaccine, Clinch Memorial Hospital is prepared and ready to provide these vaccines once the Department of Public Health selects Clinch Memorial as a vaccine site. Clinch Memorial has been working closely with the DPH by participating in webinars and following COVID-19 reports in regard to their distribution processes, storage requirements and the im...plementation process. Clinch Memorial has already met the requirements needed to be eligible to receive COVID-19 vaccines from the DPH. These requirements include the purchase of a freezer to store the vaccines, a backup generator for the freezer and employee training. The hospital has also worked beyond the requirements set by the DPH by holding weekly, sometimes even biweekly, meetings with department managers to discuss and form plans of action for when Clinch Memorial receives the vaccine.
