January is Blood Donor Awareness Month! In the winter, inclement weather often results in cancelled blood drives. It’s very important that the American Red Cross can collect blood products during this time because it can be lifesaving to many individuals! Now is the most important time to donate blood, if you are eligible. Everyday Red Cross must collect more than 2,700 platelets and about 12,500 blood donations for patients, who are undergoing medical procedures and treatments. To make an appointment to donate visit RedCrossBlood.org or call 1-800-733-2767
