This Black History Month, we’re celebrating Atlanta’s own National Center for Civil and Human Rights. This #throwback project was created in 2013 for Mayor Shirley Franklin as an announcement of the development of the museum, which now features artifacts from one of the most integral times in Georgia’s history. Shirley Franklin was the first female mayor of Atlanta and the first African American woman to be elected mayor in a major Southern city. Today we honor her legacy and her role in highlighting Civil Rights Movement history in one of the most impressive museums in the state! #BlackHistoryMonth #ThrowbackThursday

841 pixels, each a unique work of art in itself, were contributed to make this original depiction of Andy Warhol’s Marilyn in 2014. Fun fact: We produced this video as a gift to Atlanta’s Marilyn Project. In editing, we wanted to create a montage of artist interviews similar to how the collage of Marilyn was compiled of the artists' many individual pieces of art. Enjoy this #ThrowbackThursday project that honors two iconic artists and its Atlantan participants!... https://vimeo.com/87494113 See more
