To our readers I wish to thank you for your support, for it is with your support Currahee Kennels is able to advance our effort toward America's Disabled Veterans. So many of you are active duty and/or veterans, to you America owes more than you will ever receive. When you return to the life of a civilian you do so anonymously with the humility and grace only a Veteran posses. Currahee Kennels exists to provide Labradors to those who served beside you and, in so doing, gave o...f themselves such that today you are here. It is for their welfare we exist. Presently it appears fewer of America's best will be in harms way. For this we can all be thankful. I, for one, will always wonder as to the benefit each of those Warriors I served with could have provided our Nation. America needs such citizens to lead and guide us. Those of us who witnessed in combat the unselfish dedication of such unsung heroes know they would have made us a better nation and will forever remain in our daily thoughts. Currahee Kennels also thanks those of you who have never served in America's Armed Forces but are here because you understand what it means to be a Veteran. See more

SSG Amy Meyer's link to receive donations for a most worthy cause! Amy is a Staff Sergeant in the US Army, veteran of the war in Iraq, and a war dog handler, posted at Ft. Benning Georgia. Harris was assigned to the 172nd Brigade Support Battalion, 172nd Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division. Specialist Harris was awarded the Bronze Star and the Purple Heart for his service and sacrifice.
