Franklin County Rec Department & Franklin County Board of Commissioners will be honoring the life and legacy of coach Michael Mayfield Sr. by renaming the Rocky Ford Rec Center gym after him on Saturday, May 15 from 11a - 2p. This will be a community family day of fun with games and a bouncy house for the kids. Lunch will be provided and admission is free. Come celebrate the life of a man who did so much for the youth of Franklin County!

We would like to take a moment to thank our Water Department Employees! We currently have 4 field employees, a water clerk, & a department head who run the Franklin County Water Department. Franklin County has a groundwater system, which means the water supply comes directly from groundwater wells throughout the county. These wells produce approximately 1.2 million gallons of water a day at this time. We can store 2.5 million gallons of water in our ground storage tanks, and... 300,000 gallons of water in our elevated storage tank. Our field employees help read meters, install meters, install new trunk lines in our system, repair any leaks or damages as they arise, assist in wastewater operations, and help support our road department when necessary! They are out in all types of weather to ensure our community has water! A huge thank you to Gary, Hamilton, Lucas, & Andrew. We currently have around 261 miles of waterline installed throughout Franklin County, a number that is growing continuously. We appreciate their hard work and the lifeline they supply.
