Yesterday I attended Chastain Parks FREE Urban Farming Program Class - Composting. They gave away garlic (see in bucket) and arugula and Master Gardeners talked dirt. Fantastic classes held Monthly. Next month is Essential Oils, then Sept Planting Fall Vegetables. *While the Barn burned down, they are still up and running utilizing the pavilion ~ even held a wedding there last month. These classes are free, but they are looking to increase membership in the Chastain Conser...vancy ($25) as more community members helps them receive more funding from other sources. This will allow them rebuild. They are still waiting on City of Atlanta to repair the electricity!!! Class schedule & more info on Farm in first link.
