Good evening Glynn County, is it just me or has this been a long week? We want to thank all of our partners, state, local, and federal, that have worked so hard... this week helping us monitor, make preparations, and keep everyone as informed as possible. We met with many of those partners this afternoon to make sure we have done everything we can to make our community safe. And we want to thank our citizens for being patient, understanding, and not panicking, heeding warnings, monitoring, and being prepared. We ask that you continue to stay alert and prepared. This is the peak of hurricane season and we should all be mindful of that. The last update looked favorable for us here in Glynn, but please stay ready, we may still see some impacts especially along our coast. We will continue to provide updates until there is no threat to our community. And we will try to answer your questions when possible. Let’s not forget there are communities North of us that may see catastrophic life threatening impacts from this storm and we need to keep them in our thoughts and prayers. Stay safe, stay prepared. Glynn County EMA’s monthly LEPC meeting was just confirmed by GEMA as the largest and most active LEPC group in the state of Georgia! Failing to plan, is planning to fail. Be safe Golden Isles! We Y’all!
