Today's message: Deck the Halls

When we get into the latter part of November or early December, we rummage through the shed or attic and pull out our boxes of Christmas decorations, and then we go to town - we decorate our homes and we decorate our offices. Some of us are even inclined to decorate our cars! It just has a way of adding the needed sparkle to our lives. But, in light of the social limitations and restrictions that we find ourselves facing today, why even make the effort to decorate this year? ...Maybe we need to deck the halls because, even in the midst of a pandemic, we feel it even more necessary, as if we are shouting out to the world, "This will not stop me from enjoying Christmas!" But what about our minds, our hearts, our very soul? Do they need some decorations, some brightening up, too? And what exactly would that look like? If we are getting our homes ready for our company's arrival, shouldn't we also be getting our hearts ready for the arrival of God? Today's message: Time for the Clean-up Crew

Getting ready for company doesn't just happen. I know. I've had my moments when I would look around at the mess and think that things need to be picked up and put in place but just standing there doesn't get it done. It takes a clean-up crew to get things prepared and ready for the company. And with the coming of Christ - in a manger - and for his return, we are challenged to join the clean-up crew, to prepare the way in our world for the message of Christmas. Join us this Sunday, 12/6, at 9:00 AM as we look at how we can be a part of God's clean-up crew and make a difference in the world in which we live.
