For today's #throwbackthursday, we thought we'd get political - historically speaking. As Election Day approaches and many Americans head to the polls / prepare to submit their ballots, we thought it fitting to share this from our collection. In the late 1920s, when the City of Savannah decided to retire their small hut-style "voting booths," they donated them to the local Girl Scout camp at that time: Camp Walleila. These little gems weren't special just from holding s...o many fun Girl Scout memories, but also because these huts would have been where some Savannah women voted for the first time after the ratification of the 19th Amendment. One hundred years later, make sure that your Girl Scout knows that every voice matters and that every vote counts.
