Help us in congratulating the recipients for this year's NSTP Impact Awards that were given out at Up with the White & Gold last night! Each year our office awards a student and a faculty/staff member to thank them for the impact they've made on our programs in NSTP. This year's student award recipient is Sarah Beth Parker. Sarah Beth has served in leadership roles in almost all our programs offered within NSTP the past 4 years including a participant and Second Year Advisor... in Freshman Council, Executive Director of KNIT Mentoring Program, Counselor for Wreck Camp, a FASET Leader, and is now on her second term as FASET Cabinet. Thank you so much for all you have done over the years, we are so proud to have you in our community! This year's Faculty/Staff award recipient is Crystal Elster. Crystal works in the Office of the Registrar as the Senior Assistant Registrar with Academic Services and supports us as we help our FASET participants register for courses during their sessions. With all the moving pieces of registration, her assistance and partnership has made our lives and the lives of students easier, and we know her impact is huge! Thank you so much Crystal for all that you have done to help our office do the work that we love to do, you've made it so rewarding! #uwwg21

It is the final #FASETFriday, and we have definitely saved the best for last! This week we will be highlighting Tim Edmonds-King and Megan Faulkner, our Professional Staff! Tim Edmonds-King (he/him/his) has worked with the NSTP office since June 2015, working with both FASET and Wreck Camp. His favorite thing about FASET is seeing fears released from incoming students & guests when we are able to answer their questions and help them feel supported in the transition to this ...new phase of life for their family.. A random fact about himself is that he has recorded a CD, and his favorite type of bread is Gluten-Free. His unpopular opinion is that backing into spaces actually does not save you time! Megan Faulkner (she/her/hers) has worked with the NSTP office since June 2019! One piece of advice she has for incoming students is Don’t be afraid to ask for help! There are so many resources available to you and we want to see you succeed on campus.. If Megan could have any super power, she would have the ability to make weekends last longerwe are right there with ya! Her favorite ice-cream is Jeni’s Gooey Butter Cake, and her favorite scent is pine. They are both obsessed with their pets, so if ya have the chance, ask them about Walter and Quinn (you won’t regret it). We are so thankful for everything Tim and Megan do for our office everyday! #fasetfriday #gt25 #gt2025 #georgiatech #fasetcabinet2021 #FASET2021 #gttransfer [Photo 1: A woman with long, blond hair and a floral shirt stands next to a man with light brown hair wearing a Patagonia jacket. Photo 2: A man in a blue athletic quarter zip and black shorts jumps in front of a red, rocky landscape. His legs are crossed, and his hands are up in the air. Hey! Guess what?? It’s #FASETFriday, and the NSTP office would like to introduce Lauren Webb and Brendan Flynn, FASET Cabinet’s Training and Leadership Committee! Lauren Webb (she/her/hers) is a second year Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering major fromSuwanee, GA.Her favorite thing about FASET is thecommunity! It has been the reason that I have met so many incredible people on campus.A random fact about Lauren is that she is allergic to quinoa. If she was any Ta...ylor Swift song, she would be Afterglow, and if she was any meme, she would be the dog sittingin the room saying this is fine because she thrives in chaos. Brendan Flynn (he/his/him) is a fourth year Industrial Engineering major fromFairfield, CT.His one piece of advice for incoming students is Find an organization or group of friends on campus outside of your classes where you feel at home. It makes your transition into a new school much easier and makes Tech feel like home much quicker!. If he could have any animal as a pet, he would have aKoalaKOALA-ty choice Brendan! An unpopular opinion he has is that comic sans is a very usable andinterestingfont, and if you see any SpongeBob related memes, send them his way because they’re his favorite! We are excited to see all the amazing things these two cab members do for FASET this year! #fasetfriday#gt25#gt2025#georgiatech#fasetcabinet2021#FASET2021#gttransfer [Photo 1: A man in a navy suit with brown hair and a blue mask shakes hands with awomenin a black suit with brown hair and a black mask. Introducing our final Wreck Directors, Nathan Banks and Jacob Lewis! Nathan and Jacob are this year’s Training and Development directors. They are coming up with some fantastic ways to make trainings fun and interactive for our staff members! Nathan is a third year chemistry major from Atlanta, GA. He attended Wreck camp in 2018 and served as a member of staff in 2019 and 2020. His favorite Wreck Camp memory is stargazing and talking with his small group about how excited they were to start their first year at Tech. Jacob is a third year industrial engineering major from Sandy Springs, GA. He served as a member of staff in 2019 and 2020, and his favorite memory from Wreck Camp is playing Signs every night.
