As novel coronavirus (COVID-19) diagnoses continue to increase around the world, we are committed as always to providing a safe and hygienic environment for our patients and team. Updates may change day-to-day but currently, our doors are still open and we are maintaining business as usual. We do kindly ask, for the health and safety of patients and our staff, that only the patients receiving dental treatment come into the office. Dear Patients of Habersham Family Dental, We hope that all of you are healthy and safe. With the current threat that the Coronavirus (COVID-19) is presenting we wanted to reassure you of measures we are taking to keep our patients and staff healthy while continuing to provide excellent dental care. ... First, we practice universal precautions for every patient on a daily basis even when not faced with the threat of Coronavirus (COVID-19). These include: 1. All clinical areas and surfaces are disinfected between every patient with antibacterial and antiviral solutions and products. 2. All instruments are heat sterilized after usage. 3. The use of masks, gloves and eye protection. 4. Regular handwashing. Second, we are implementing the following policies and procedures: 1. Pre-appointment screening while verifying appointments asking anyone that is exhibiting signs or symptoms of Coronavirus to reschedule for a later date. 2. Any patients that have traveled anywhere requiring the usage of a passport in the last two weeks will need to reschedule. 3. Any difficult to sterilize items in our office will be removed for the time being (magazines, brochures etc.). 4. Any staff members with signs of cold symptoms will be sent home. What we request from you the patient during this situation: 1. If you are experiencing any signs or symptoms of Coronavirus (COVID-19) or have experienced them in the past two weeks please reschedule. Symptoms include: a. Fever b. Persistent Dry Cough c. Flu-like symptoms 2. If you have traveled somewhere with symptoms of Coronavirus (COVID-19) please reschedule. 3. If you have had close contact with someone with symptoms of Coronavirus (COVID-19) please reschedule. 4. Please limit the number of non-patient family and friends that you bring with you to appointments. 5. If you do not wish to wait in our waiting room before your appointment, please call the office when you arrive and you can wait in your car until we come get you for your appointment. 6. Please practice common sense hygiene protocols such as washing your hands, coughing or sneezing into your elbow and the use of disposable tissues. The safety and health of our patients and staff is the primary concern at Habersham Family Dental. We appreciate your help and understanding during this time. Please feel free to call our office with any questions regarding these changes. We will update you with any changes in business hours or procedures via our patient communication system and Facebook.
