Lunar Riot Salon

Hey everyone! Just wanted to update you all about my work situation- I have decided I am not going to be back in the salon quite yet. Until numbers are dropping at a steady 14-day decline, I will not be back. Until the government stops lying to us about numbers, I will be staying home. Here are the reasons for that: 1. I do not want to be taking away PPE from healthcare workers that are already having difficult getting their hands on. 2. I cannot do my creative colors bec...ause you’re not really supposed to be blowdrying. 3. I do not want the responsibility of possibly passing this virus on to someone who cannot handle it. 4. I do not want to get sick or get my family sick. 5. I already have extreme anxiety, and I know wearing a mask for hours on end will make me mentally and physically ill, I don’t want to be passing out every time I work. I applaud every single stylist going through this right now because I know how much hard work it is. I just don’t personally want to put myself through it. 6. I’m just not emotionally prepared to put myself through all of that yet, and I know getting back into the world around people is going to take me some time. 7. Even with temperature checks and asking clients if they feel sick, I still don’t feel safe being around you all. Don’t forget that many people are asymptomatic, therefore I can’t trust that just because you have no symptoms, that things are A-okay. 8. We still don’t know if people even get immunity or can be reinfected again. 9. Antibody tests are unreliable, therefore we can’t tell who’s gotten it and who hasn’t. With all of these things up in the air, I believe it’s safer that I, and you all stay home for now. Thank you all for being patient with me. As soon as I figure out a start date, I will let you know ASAP. If you want an appointment for when I do open up, please let me know so I can add you to my list. I can’t give you a set appointment date, but at least I’ll know who wants one and it’ll be a first come, first serve basis. Please stay safe, stay inside if you can, and wear a damn mask. Love you all we can make it through this together if we all stay united.
