IN-Line Consulting 04.06.2021

What a year this has been. From winter's visit to Texas in February to the variety of storms last month to the hail on the beach this past weekend, we have seen our fair share of catastrophes and disasters in 2021. How much more can we handle as an industry? As individuals/adjusters/consultants/carriers? As a country? As communities? This year is far from over, but with each new storm we're learning we can handle far more than we imagined. As the year manifests more disaster...s and trials, we'll be able to face them with more grit and preparation than ever before. As always, we're here to help in any way, so please forward all information for new assignments to [email protected]. https://www.carriermanagement.com/news/2021/04/10/219209.htm

We station a consultant full time on the job site to oversee the day to day details and ensure the task as a whole is completed efficiently while maximizing quality and value. Clerk of the works is a real time audit of all costs and tasks. The clerk will begin each day with a morning meeting to assess the number of workers at the site, the condition/progress of th...e work site, and the tools/equipment. Once the day is underway, you can find the clerk walking around the job site ensuring the plans are followed, tasks are completed, the right number of people are working, the right equipment is being utilized, and so much more. More than a million Floridians will see their flood insurance premium rise next year, FEMA said Thursday. The good news is, most will see increases of less than $120 a year. The bad news is that homeowners will likely see annual rate hikes like that for the foreseeable future. The National Flood Insurance Program is changing the way it calculates what each property has to pay. The new strategy, called Risk Rating 2.0, is meant to help pull the program out of its $20 billion d...ebt and encourage people to live in safer, less flood-prone homes. Increased rates are never exciting, but the potential for a more accurate flood risk assessment could be worth it. What do y'all think? https://insurancenewsnet.com//feds-roll-out-new-flood-insu
