Why use a PCR, or Polymerase Chain Reaction, test instead of other forms of testing? Our PCR technique extracts genetic material (DNA or RNA) from the organism causing the infection. This allows us to identify the infection causing organism quickly and accurately for proper diagnosis and targeted treatment.
